Home Reno's - First Completed Project - Exterior Paint + New FRONT door!

I am absolutely inlove with our freshly painted home!

(yes, we went with similar colors! The cozy, comfortable earth tones are what drew us into buying our home in the first place! - The shutters did not need painting, we had just painted them this past fall but the painters did another coat anyways.)

We had to have new trim put up, some siding replaced, and the house, shingles, & shutters painted.. but finally, it is complete! I love our new front door, but I will definitely be making some changes (new knob & a cute wreath! && possibly some white paint around the window on the door.. to match the window above!) Whew.. house work takes a lot of time and energy! But I can not complain!

Keep a check on my blog, I will soon have pictures of our backsplash in the kitchen, freshly painted kitchen cabinets, new flooring, interior decorating, and a bathroom remodel! Yep, we are some busy folks!

LAKE WATER (Don't worry.. it is not really water from the lake!)

How to make "lake water"

- 2 packets of green koolaid

- 2 cups sugar

- warm water

Directions: 

make & chill until ready to serve!

I put a NEW pack of fishing bobbers in mine! SO cute!

Lanterns, aqua colored items, & things wrapped in twine are always cute for the LAKESIDE theme!

Lelu's FAMILY FAMOUS Crock Pot Creamed Corn

Well folks, this is my absolute favorite dish to take to family functions! (& to make at home too!) It is super easy to make and people beg for it weeks before celebrations! I have a cousin that tells me to make him a dish before he arrives & I do the same with my mother. And it's even become such a big hit that my dear friend over at Mama's Blessed has claimed that it is one of her favorite recipes to make too! You just gotta check it out!

The VORTEX (Atlanta, GA) - Little 5 Points!

Today, we decided to meet up with some friends and enjoy a late lunch / early dinner at one of our most favorite places to eat in Atlanta. We ate at the Vortex - we both enjoyed the Original Coronary Bypass! The Original Coronary Bypass burger is packed with a ton of yummy goodness (Bun, beef, lots & lots of cheese, bacon!, a pickle, tomato, lettuce, and onion!) I actually ate very little of mine while out with friends.. I am quite the talker! HAH! But it was tasty! & ended up eating 70% of it throughout the day! Those of you who have tried the even bigger choices... bravo, bravo! and we also gave the fried zucchini a try- great choice.. we can just say it is a healthier choice!

The menu is sooooo awesome! Remember, this is a 21+ restaurant and bar! No kiddos here.. well except for those with an older birth year and continue to stay young at heart ;)
